The KCT Manual Log Splitter provides a simple and convenient way to split logs into smaller pieces for firewood and kindling. Ideal for chopping wood and preparing logs around the garden, this compact wood splitter features a heavy-duty steel construction and a robust, weighted base for added stability during use. Pre-drilled mounting holes and included fixings allow the splitter to be securely mounted to a suitable solid surface, providing a reliable solution for cutting logs down to a more manageable size.
Simple to set up and use, the splitter features a tapered, wedge-shaped edge designed to concentrate force through the wood for efficient splitting. Secure the splitter in place using the supplied fixings, then position your log over the tapered edge so that it splits along the natural grain of the wood. Strike the log with a suitable hammer or mallet to drive it down onto the wedge and separate the wood along the grain. A protective cover is included to fit over the tapered edge when the wood splitter is not in use, providing additional protection during storage and helping to keep the exposed edge safely covered.
